This website, iselcukmay.com, is the personal site of İ. Selçuk May, a private individual based in Istanbul, Türkiye. I am the person responsible for how it handles data. For anything related to this policy, write to hello@iselcukmay.com.

Nothing, by design. The site has no user accounts, no newsletter, no comment section, no analytics, no advertising and no social media embeds. I cannot see who visits, which pages you read or where you came from.

The only personal data I ever receive is what you choose to send me by email.

The site is delivered by Firebase Hosting, a service of Google LLC, through its global content delivery network. To deliver a page and protect the service against abuse, Google's servers process technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, your browser type and the time of the request. This processing happens on Google's infrastructure and is governed by Google's privacy policy.

I do not use this data to identify anyone, and there are no analytics built on top of it.

The contact form works entirely in your browser. Pressing Send opens your own email app with the message prepared. Nothing is sent to me, or to any server, until you choose to send it from your email app.

If you email me, I receive your email address, the name you give and whatever you write. I use this only to reply to you and to keep track of our conversation. My email is handled by Google Workspace, so messages are stored in my mailbox on Google's servers. I keep correspondence for as long as it is relevant to the conversation and delete it when it is no longer needed. I do not share your messages or your address with anyone else, and I do not add you to any mailing list.

The site does not set cookies. When you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page, your browser stores a single entry named cookie-consent in its local storage so that the notice is not shown again. It contains no personal data and never leaves your device. The Cookie Policy explains how to remove it.

Pages on this site may link to other websites, such as GitHub or the App Store. Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies. I have no control over how other sites handle your data.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it.

Because the only personal data I hold is email correspondence, an email to hello@iselcukmay.com is enough to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

If the way this site handles data ever changes, for example if I add analytics or a newsletter, this page will be updated before the change goes live and the date at the top will reflect it.
